Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • corn oil - 1 c
  • bell pepper - 1 item
  • onion - 1 item
  • can bean sprouts - 1 item
  • cauliflower - 1 item
  • can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
  • can Shoepeg corn - 1 item
  • can French-cut green beans - 1 item
  • can small English peas - 1 item
  • or 4 stalks celery - 3 item
  • or 3 raw carrots - 2 item

How to make vegetable salad:

Mix the first 4 ingredients together. Chop and add the bell pepper, onion, cauliflower, celery and carrots. Drain the remaining ingredients and add. Marinate at least 24 hours. Serves 20 to 25.
