Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • can sliced water chestnuts - 8 oz
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • can bean sprouts - 16 oz
  • jar pimento - 4 oz
  • can mushrooms, sliced - 6 8
  • Shoe Peg corn, drained - 12 oz
  • LeSueur peas, drained - 16 oz
  • salt and pepper to taste no salt needed - 1 item

How to make vegetable salad:

Dressing:1 c. sugar3/4 c. vinegar1 c. water1 c. oil salt and pepper to taste (no salt needed) Mix all vegetables together in large bowl with a top. Mix up dressing and pour over vegetables. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate at least 24 hours. Can be kept for several days.
