Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- box vanilla wafers - 1 oz
- sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
- Add crushed wafers and milk; mix well
How to make vanilla wafer cake:
Cream sugar and butter; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add crushed wafers and milk; mix well. Blend in the coconut and pecans. Bake in greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan at 275° for 50 minutes. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan at 275° for 35 minutes. The top will be soft when done. Let cool before removing from pan.Icing for Vanilla Wafer Cake:1 (8 oz.) Philadelphia cream cheese1/2 stick butter or margarine1 lb. box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cream the cheese and margarine together. Add sugar and vanilla; beat well.
