  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flaked coconut - 1 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
  • box vanilla wafers - 1 oz
  • sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
  • Add crushed wafers and milk; mix well

How to make vanilla wafer cake:

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add crushed wafers and milk; mix well. Blend in the coconut and pecans. Bake in greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan at 275° for 50 minutes. Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan at 275° for 35 minutes. The top will be soft when done. Let cool before removing from pan.Icing for Vanilla Wafer Cake:1 (8 oz.) Philadelphia cream cheese1/2 stick butter or margarine1 lb. box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cream the cheese and margarine together. Add sugar and vanilla; beat well. Sprinkle pecans on top, if desired and sides.
