Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- butter
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- coconut
- oil - 1/4 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- can fruit cocktail - 1 oz
- jello lemon instant pudding - 1 pkg
How to make ugly duckling cake:
Butter Glaze:1/2 c. butter1/2 c. granulated sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1 1/2 c. coconut Blend all ingredients, except brown sugar and nuts, in a large mixing bowl. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Do not underbake. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Spoon hot Butter Glaze over warm cake. Serve warm or cool.Butter Glaze: Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes. Stir in 1 1/3 cups of coconut.
