Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 14 oz
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- box chocolate cake mix - 1 item
How to make turtle cake:
Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 1/2 batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, unwrap caramels and melt with evaporated milk and margarine in saucepan over low heat. Pour mixture over hot cake, spreading evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top of caramel mixture. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
