  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • light brown sugar
  • pecan pieces optional - 1 c
  • butter flavor shortening mix - 3/4 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Combine shortening mix, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat in mixer until creamy. Beat egg into mixer. Combine flour, salt and baking soda; mix until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls about 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
