Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 1 lb
  • almond bark
  • real butter - 1 lb
  • package of sliced Almonds - 1 lb

How to make toffee:

Cook in heavy sauce pan or skillet to cracking stage the brown sugar and butter stirring often to keep from scorching.

On a cookie sheet lined with foil, brown at about 300°, the sliced Almonds stirring often to keep edges from burning.

If you want to dust the top of the Toffee with sprinkles of Almonds take some of the browned Almonds and shred to almost a powder and save until later.

Crush the remaining almonds in the cookie sheet a little.

Melt the Almond Bark in the microwave slowly stirring about every 1/2 minute. When melted pour over the crushed Almonds and spread with a spoon until thin layer. While hot dust with shredded almonds. Let cool and break into pieces.
