Toasted oatmeal cookies

Ingredients/Components

• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 1/2 c
• butter - 3/4 c
• baking soda - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• dark brown sugar - 1 c
• chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
• raisins - 3/4 c
• old-fashioned oats

How to make toasted oatmeal cookies:

In medium skillet over medium heat saute oats in butter until light brown. Remove from heat and cool. Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture; stir well. Add oats, raisins and walnuts. Drop by spoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy.
