Toasted oatmeal cookies
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- butter - 3/4 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- raisins - 3/4 c
- old-fashioned oats
How to make toasted oatmeal cookies:
In medium skillet over medium heat saute oats in butter until light brown. Remove from heat and cool. Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture; stir well. Add oats, raisins and walnuts. Drop by spoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
