- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- pecans - 1 c
- plus 6 Tbsp - 1 c
- 8-inch pie shell, baked - 1 item
How to make texas pecan pie:
Mix flour and 1 cup sugar; add lightly beaten egg yolks, butter, milk and pecans. Cook over low heat 5 minutes or until thick. Pour into crust. Top with meringue: 3 egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
