Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- dried oregano - 1/2 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- crushed red pepper - 1/2 item
- cumin - 1/2 tsp
- can pinto beans, drained - 1 1/2
- stewing beef, cubed - 2 lb
- pickled jalapeno peppers, chopped - 2 item
How to make texas chili:
In a large heavy pan, heat oil, and brown beef cubes on all sides. Add onions, bell pepper and garlic. Fry them with beef for about 5 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients except beans, and simmer the chili for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tenRecipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Chili.
