Taffy apple salad

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/4 c
• flour - 1 Tbsp
• egg - 1 item
• vinegar - 2 tsp
• Cool Whip - 8 oz
• Spanish peanuts - 1 c
• miniature marshmallows - 4 c
• can crushed pineapple, drained save juice - 1 oz
• unpeeled, diced apples - 3 c

How to make taffy apple salad:

In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, beaten egg, flour and pineapple juice. Cook on medium heat until thickened, approximately 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; let cool. Combine apples, pineapple and Cool Whip. Add peanuts and marshmallows. Stir in cooked custard mixture after it is completely cooled; mix well. Chill well before serving.
