Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- water - 1/4 c
- whipping cream - 1/2 pt
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- Knox gelatine - 2 Tbsp
- cherry juice - 1 Tbsp
- large can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- maraschino cherries, cut up - 12 item
How to make sweetheart salad:
Combine pineapple and sugar and heat until dissolved. Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water. Add to pineapple. Add cherry and lemon juice. Cream the cream cheese until soft. Put cut up cherries into it. Add to pineapple mixture. Let chill until slightly firm. Whip the cream and fold into the pineapple mixture.
