- buttermilk - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1 c
- plain flour
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- white sugar
- whole eggs - 2 item
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- stick softened oleo - 1 item
- small bottle red food coloring - 1 item
- Makes 2 layers
How to make red velvet cake:
Mix all ingredients together. Makes 2 layers. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick softened oleo1 box confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts Cream butter and cream cheese. Add the rest and spreads on cool cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
