Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cream cheese - 6 oz
  • cold water - 1/4 c
  • Knox gelatine
  • crushed pineapple - 2 c
  • cherry juice - 2 Tbsp
  • nuts if desired - 1 item
  • lemon gelatin - 4 Tbsp
  • whipping cream or Dream Whip - 1/2 pkg
  • large cherries - 12 item

How to make sweetheart salad:

Heat crushed pineapple with sugar. Add gelatine which has been soaked in cold water for 5 minutes. Stir until melted; add lemon gelatin and cherry juice and cool. Mix cream cheese with cherries (cut fine). Then add to pineapple mixture. Chill until slightly thick. Fold whipped cream into mixture. Mold and chill.
