Sweet rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- flour
- oil - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1/4 c
- ground cinnamon - 2 tsp
- active dry yeast - 1 pkg
- skim milk, scalded and cooled - 3/4 c
- low sodium corn oil margarine - 3 Tbsp
How to make sweet rolls:
Dissolve yeast in water. Mix in milk, sugar, oil and half of the flour. Add remaining flour and work into dough. Knead on lightly floured board for 5 minutes. Place in oiled bowl, turning once to oil surface. Cover and let rise until double, about 90 minutes. Punch down and roll into an 18 x 8-inch rectangle. Spread with margarine and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up along wide side to form a roll 18-inches long. Cut into 1-inch slices.Place cut side down in an oiled 9 x 13-inch pan or muffin tins. Let rise until double, about 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Yields 18 rolls.
