Sweet potatoes and apples

Ingredients/Components

• butter - 2 Tbsp
• maple syrup - 3/4 c
• sweet potatoes - 5 item
• large apples - 3 item

How to make sweet potatoes and apples:

Wash sweet potatoes and pierce several times with fork. Bake on cookie sheet at 350° for 1 hour or until fork pierces them easily. Cool. Peel apples and slice thinly. Skin potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch slices. Grease casserole dish with shortening or butter. Cover bottom of dish with half of potato slices. Put half of apple slices on top of potatoes. Add remaining potatoes. Top with remaining apples. Dot with butter. Pour maple syrup over top. Cover casserole and bake 30 minutes at 350°.
