Sweet potato pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 Tbsp
- shredded coconut - 1/2 c
- unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
- mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
- Add sugar and spices
How to make sweet potato pie:
Filling:1 1/4 c. sugar1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon1/2 Tbsp. nutmeg2 eggs1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk1 Tbsp. vanilla1 1/2 c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes Mix sugar and spices; beat eggs and add milk and vanilla. Add sugar and spices. Mix. Stir in sweet potatoes. Pour into shell. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes and reduce heat to 350° for 30 minutes.Topping:1/3 c. butter or margarine1/2 c. flour1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. shredded coconut1/2 c. pecans, chopped When pie is removed from oven, sprinkle topping on top of pie.
