Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- oatmeal - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1/3 c
- ketchup - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Mix together ground beef, egg, oatmeal and salt and pepper. Form into meatballs; brown in skillet. Drain off fat. Combine water, lemon juice, ketchup, brown sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Heat to a boil and simmer until thickened. Add to browned meatballs and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with rice.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Main dish, Ground beef.
