Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • catsup - 1 c
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • cracker crumbs - 1 c
  • chopped green peppers - 1/2 c
  • can chunk pineapple, drained - 1 item
  • small smoky links - 1 lb

How to make sweet and sour meatballs:

Combine hamburger, milk, cracker crumbs, salt and pepper. Mix well and shape into 1-inch balls. Place in 9 x 13-inch pan. Combine onions, green peppers, vinegar, water, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and catsup. Pour over meatballs. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or more. Turn meatballs a couple times during baking and spoon the sauce over them. Add pineapple and smoky links at end of baking time. Bake 10 minutes longer to reheat all. Serve in fondue dish or pan to be kept warm.
