Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- beaten egg - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onions, chopped - 1/3 c
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- whole milk - 1/4 c
- jar grape jelly - 10 oz
- jar chili sauce
- dry bread crumbs loaf bread - 1/2 c
- barbecue sauce hot or mild optional - 1/2 c
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Sauce:12 oz. jar chili sauce10 oz. jar grape jelly1/2 c. barbecue sauce (hot or mild) (optional) Mix all of the meatball ingredients and form into one-inch balls. Bake at 350° until brown, 30 to 35 minutes.For sauce: Mix all 3 ingredients well. Add baked meatballs and pour all together into a pot; stir well. Simmer on medium to barely bubbly stage uncovered for 30 minutes.
Delicious alone, or at a party, insert toothpick into each ball. Serves 6 to 8.
