Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- cornstarch
- can frozen apple juice, thawed - 1 oz
- medium Delicious apples - 6 item
- pie crust for double crust pie - 1 item
How to make sugarless apple pie:
Peel and slice apples. Place in a large pan with undiluted apple juice. Boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and stir into apple mixture. Boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Add cinnamon. Fill pastry and dot with 3 tablespoons of butter. Put on top crust and prick top of crust. Cook for 45 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
