Sugar cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 2 Tbsp
• salt - 3/4 tsp
• soda - 1/2 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• all-purpose flour
• oleo - 1/2 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream oleo, shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Add egg; mix until fluffy. Stir in flour, soda, and salt. Stir until mixture is smooth; blend in milk.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of water glass which has been dipped in sugar. Bake at 400° just until edges start to brown.
