  • green peppers - 12 item
  • ground beef
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • jar Ragu spaghetti sauce flavored with meat, divided - 1 oz
  • herb seasoned stuffing cubes - 2 c
  • beef broth - 2/3 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • elbow macaroni - 1/2 lb

How to make stuffed peppers:

Clean and seed the peppers. Boil 5 minutes; drain. Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Remove fat. Add 1/2 cup Ragu spaghetti sauce flavored with meat (from the 32-ounce jar) and 2 cups herb seasoned stuffing cubes. Stuff peppers. Place 1/2 remaining sauce, 2/3 cup beef broth and 1/2 cup water in a large saucepan. Stand 6 peppers in sauce. Repeat in an oven-to-freezer casserole. Simmer, covered, 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the macaroni. Drain and mix 1/2 into sauce around peppers in each dish. Heat 5 minutes. Cover and freeze casserole. Reheat, covered at 400° for 1 1/2 hours. Each serves 6.
