Stuffed green peppers
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- long grain rice - 1 c
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- medium green peppers - 6 item
- minced garlic - 1/4 tsp
- dried basil - 1/2 tsp
- can condensed tomato soup undiluted - 1 3/4
- uncooked lean ground beef
How to make stuffed green peppers:
Cut tops off peppers; set aside. In a bowl, combine the next six ingredients. Spoon into peppers. Place in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Combine soup and basil; spoon over peppers. Cover and bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink. Sprinkle with cheese; return to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
