Strawberry shortcut cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- solid shortening - 1/2 c
- frozen sliced strawberries in syrup, thawed - 2 c
How to make strawberry shortcut cake:
Grease bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly on bottom of pan. Mix thawed strawberries and syrup with Jell-O; set aside.In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Blend on low until moist; beat 3 minutes. Scrape sides of bowl often.
Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in pan. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350°. Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
