Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- cold water - 1 c
- white cake mix - 1 pkg
- Karo syrup - 3 Tbsp
- Wesson oil - 1/4 c
- strawberry Jell-O
- eggs save 2 egg whites for White Frosting - 4 item
- Add oil; blend well
How to make strawberry shortcake:
Mix cake mix and Jell-O together. Add oil; blend well. Add sugar and water; blend well. Pour into 3 layer pans or 1 large cake pan. Bake at 350° until cake does not stick to toothpick.White Frosting:1 1/2 c. sugar3 Tbsp. Karo syrup1/2 c. water Cook until it forms a ball in cup of cool water. Add mixture to the 2 egg whites that have been beaten well. Cover cake with thawed frozen strawberries, then cover with White Frosting.Recipe categories: Desserts, Strawberry, Berries.
