Strawberry banana salad
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- 3 oz - 3 pkg
- boiling water - 1 c
- bananas, sliced - 3 item
- 10 oz - 1 pkg
- size crushed pineapple, undrained - 1 can
- commercial sour cream, divided - 2 c
How to make strawberry banana salad:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, stir in fruit. Pour half of gelatin mixture into an 8-inch pan and refrigerate until firm. Store remaining gelatin mixture at room temperature.Spread congealed gelatin with 1 cup sour cream. Spoon remaining gelatin over sour cream and refrigerate until firm. Top with remaining sour cream, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with pecans. Yields 8 to 10 servings. May be used as a dessert or placed on lettuce leaves and served as salad.
