  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • 3 oz - 3 pkg
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • bananas, sliced - 3 item
  • 10 oz - 1 pkg
  • size crushed pineapple, undrained - 1 can
  • commercial sour cream, divided - 2 c

How to make strawberry banana salad:

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, stir in fruit. Pour half of gelatin mixture into an 8-inch pan and refrigerate until firm. Store remaining gelatin mixture at room temperature.

Spread congealed gelatin with 1 cup sour cream. Spoon remaining gelatin over sour cream and refrigerate until firm. Top with remaining sour cream, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with pecans. Yields 8 to 10 servings. May be used as a dessert or placed on lettuce leaves and served as salad.
