Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • hot water
  • oleo - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 1/2 item
  • Italian seasoning - 1 item
  • hamburger
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
  • spaghetti sauce
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cooked rice - 1 c
  • uncooked rice - 1 c
  • garlic powder to taste - 1 item
  • cucumber seasoning to taste - 1 item

How to make spanish rice:

For Microwave (Rice):2 1/2 c. hot water1 Tbsp. oleo1 tsp. salt1 c. uncooked rice Fry hamburger with onion, green pepper, celery and seasoning. When meat is done, add spaghetti sauce. Bring to a boil, then cook on low heat for about 1 hour. Add cooked rice and cook on low heat for another hour.

For microwave: Combine rice with 2 1/2 cups hot water, salt and oleo in 2-quart casserole. Cover and cook on High for 2 minutes. Stir and reduce power to 50%. Cook for 20 minutes. Let stand until all water is absorbed.
