Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- tomatoes, crushed - 2 c
- cooked hamburger - 3 4
How to make spanish rice:
Brown rice in hot oil until golden brown. Add onion, pepper and hamburger. Mix in chili powder and salt, then add tomatoes and water. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until rice is fully cooked.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
