- uncooked rice - 1 1
- tomatoes - 1 qt
- green peppers - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- large can tomato sauce or tomato juice - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Brown the ground beef and drain the fat, then add in the onions, peppers, salt, pepper and garlic. Add mashed tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce or tomato juice and bring to a boil. Add in rice and bring to a boil. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes. Add more tomatoes or juice, if necessary.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
