Southern ribs
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- barbecue sauce
- cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chili pepper - 2 tsp
- medium onion, cut into wedges - 1 item
- pork spareribs, fat trimmed - 3 lb
How to make southern ribs:
You will need 1 Reynolds oven bag (large size).Preheat oven to 325°. Shake flour in oven bag; place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Add barbecue sauce, onion and seasonings. Squeeze bag to blend ingredients. Place ribs in bag. Turn bag to coat ribs with sauce. Arrange ribs in an even layer; close bag with nylon tie. Cut 6 (1/2-inch) slits in top. Bake until ribs are tender, 1 1/2 hours. Serves 4 to 6.
