Sour cream pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 lb
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- butternut flavoring - 3 tsp
- almond extract optional - 1/4 tsp
- lemon extract optional - 1 tsp
- or 6 eggs, separated - 5 item
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each is added. Add sour cream and mix thoroughly. Add flavorings. Mix in one cup of flour.Beat egg whites until they hold peaks. Fold into sour cream mixture. Add remaining dry ingredients. Turn into a greased Bundt pan. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a 310° oven.
Optional: Add one or two cups of chopped pecans.
