Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- oleo - 1 c
- cake flour, sifted - 2 c
- Fold in sour cream and vanilla carefully
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Cream oleo, sugar and eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla carefully. Fold in sifted flour, baking powder and salt. Grease and flour a tube pan (not Bundt). Pour half of batter in pan and use half of topping. Use rest of batter and topping.Topping:1/4 c. brown sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts1 tsp. cinnamon Bake for 55 to 60 minutes at 350°. Cool completely before removing from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Keep in refrigerator. Best the day after making.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
