  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • water
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • sifted cake flour - 2 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • Fold in sour cream and vanilla

How to make sour cream coffee cake:

Topping:1/2 c. chopped nuts1/2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. brown sugar Cream together margarine, sugar and eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Then fold in flour, baking powder and salt.

Topping: Mix together nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar.

Grease and flour 9-inch tube pan. Spoon in half batter, cover with 1/2 topping; repeat. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool before removing from pan. (Rectangular pan may be used.)Glaze (Optional):1 c. powdered sugar1 1/2 Tbsp. water1/4 tsp. vanilla Mix and spread on warm cake.
