Sour cream apple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- sour cream
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/4 lb
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- large egg - 1 item
- to 6 large tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin - 5 item
How to make sour cream apple pie:
Topping:1/2 c. flour1/4 lb. butter1/3 c. sugar1/3 c. brown sugar1 Tbsp. cinnamon pinch of salt Crust: By hand, mixer or processor, gather into a ball of dough and press into a 9-inch pie plate.Filling: Combine all ingredients and pour into the pie crust. Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes and then at 350° for 35 minutes to set filling. Remove from oven and cover with topping.
Topping: Combine all ingredients so as to sprinkle. A processor is marvelous for this. Heap high on pie. Return pie to 350° oven and bake for 15 minutes. Can be frozen. Serve cold.
