Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- flour all-purpose - 4 c
How to make sopaipillas:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut shortening into dry mixture. Add enough water to make soft dough, but not sticky. Knead well. Let stand about 30 minutes. Roll out into 1/8-inch thick. Cut into 3-inch squares. Fry in deep fat. Serve with honey.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, North american.
