Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- raisins - 1/2 c
- egg yolk - 1 item
- walnut pieces - 1/2 c
- sweet butter - 1/2 c
- whole egg - 1 item
How to make snickerdoodles:
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in whole egg and egg yolk. Sift flour and soda with nutmeg. Mix into batter. Fold in nuts and raisins. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart onto a buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
