Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 3 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- peeled, diced apples - 3 c
- Caramel Sauce:1 stick margarine
How to make fresh apple cake:
Caramel Sauce:1 stick margarine1/2 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 small can evaporated milk1/2 c. sugar Mix eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla together. Stir in dry ingredients. Dough will become stiff and will have to be mixed with your hands. Add nuts and apples. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours in sheet pan.Heat ingredients for Caramel Sauce in pan until hot and sugar melts. Pour over cake.
