Ingredients/Components

  • box Raisin Bran - 1 oz
  • melted shortening - 1 c
  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • buttermilk - 1 qt
  • flour - 5 c
  • soda - 5 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp

How to make six week muffins:

Mix Raisin Bran, sugar, flour, soda and salt in a very large mixing bowl. This is very important. Add beaten eggs, shortening and buttermilk; mix well. Store in covered container in the refrigerator and use as desired. Fill in greased tin 2/3 full and bake in preheated oven at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Batter will keep refrigerated for 6 weeks.
