Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • cornstarch
  • water - 1/2 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • egg whites - 3 item

How to make meringue:

Mix cornstarch, sugar, water and salt. Cook until thick and clear. Cool. Beat egg whites until they peak. Continue beating while adding cooked mixture. Beat 5 minutes. Pile on pie, sealing edges to crust. Bake at 450° until golden.
