Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1 c
How to make shoo-fly cake:
Mix flour, sugar, shortening and salt. Save 1/4 cup. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 35 minutes. Sprinkle crumb mixture on top after cake comes out of the oven.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low protein.
