Seafood gumbo
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- water - 1 to
- oil - 1/2 c
- fish - 1/2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 6 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- hot sauce - 1 item
- okra - 1 pt
- bay leaves - 3 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- shrimp
- can crabmeat - 1 item
- tomatoes - 1 qt
- bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- oysters - 1/2 pt
How to make seafood gumbo:
Make a roux with flour and oil. Add garlic; cook until golden brown. Add onion and green pepper; cook until clear. Add shrimp, tomatoes and okra; simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in water. Blend well. Add crab and bay leaves; cook for 30 minutes. Add oysters and fish; cook 10 minutes. Let sit before serving.Recipe categories: One Dish meal, Gumbo, Stew.
