Ingredients/Components
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- diced green pepper - 3/4 c
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- chicken broth
- parsley for garnish - 1 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- grated mild cheese - 1 c
- to 5 large potatoes, peeled and sliced - 4 item
How to make scalloped potatoes:
In a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish, layer potatoes, onion, green pepper and cheese alternately. In a saucepan, melt butter. Blend in flour. When mixed, add chicken broth. Heat, stirring frequently, until mixture bubbles and thickens. Pour over potatoes and sprinkle with parsley.
