Savory crescent chicken squares
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- chopped chives or onion - 1 Tbsp
- seasoned croutons, crushed - 3/4 c
- chopped pimiento if desired - 1 Tbsp
- can Pillsbury refrigerated quick crescent rolls - 1 oz
- cooked, cubed chicken or 2 5 oz - 2 c
How to make savory crescent chicken squares:
Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 tablespoons margarine (reserve 1 tablespoon) until smooth. Add the next 6 ingredients; mix well. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture; twist slightly and seal edges. Brush tops with reserved 1 tablespoon margarine. Dip in crouton crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Makes 4 sandwiches.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Chicken, Main dish.
