Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- boiling water
- butter, melted - 1/4 c
- onion, chopped - 3/4 c
- rice, uncooked - 1 c
- blanched almonds - 1 c
- pork sausage - 2 lb
- bell pepper, finely chopped - 1 c
- celery, coarsely chopped
- instant chicken noodle soup
How to make sausage rice casserole:
Brown sausage; pour off excess fat. Add bell pepper, onion and one cup celery to sausage and saute. Set aside. In a large pan, add soup mix to boiling water; stir in rice. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender. Add sausage mixture and saRecipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
