Sausage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- Minute rice - 1 c
- can mushrooms, drained - 1 item
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- can French fried onions - 1 item
- can water chestnuts, drained - 1 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
How to make sausage casserole:
Cook the rice as directed. Brown together the sausage, onion, green pepper and celery. Add the mushrooms and water chestnuts. Stir in the rice and soup. Put in casserole dish and top with the cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Top with the French fried onions. Bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
