Salmon chowder
Ingredients/Components
- chicken broth - 4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- minced garlic - 1 Tbsp
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- heavy whipping cream - 2 c
- carrots, chopped - 2 c
- large potatoes, diced - 2 item
- cans diced tomatoes - 2 item
- cans whole corn - 2 item
- red pepper, diced - 1 item
- salmon fillet, deboned and cubed - 1 item
How to make salmon chowder:
Saut?© onion in 1/2 stick butter. Add potatoes and garlic and cook 5 to 10 minutes, covered. Add broth, carrots, corn, peppers, corn and tomatoes to the pot and cook until potatoes are done. Add salmon and cook until done. Add heavy cream and cheese and heat until cheese is melted.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Chowders.
