Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 4 item
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 1
  • pkg - 1 3/4
  • water - 1/2 c
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • rum - 1/4 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 box
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • rum I use spiced rum - 1/2 c
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans in bottom

How to make rum cake:

Grease and flour Bundt cake pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans in bottom. Put cake mix and pudding mix in bowl. Add rum, water and oil. Add eggs, one at a time; use mixer. Beat until all is thoroughly mixed. Pour in Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes.Hot Rum Glaze:1 c. sugar1/4 c. rum1 stick oleo1/4 c. water Combine. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over hot cake. Pour glaze over cake while still in pan, just as you take cake out of oven.
