- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- diced apples - 2 c
- Add eggs and milk
How to make roman apple cake:
Mix shortening and sugars. Add eggs and milk. Add dry ingredients, then apples. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.Topping:1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix together and sprinkle on top of cake. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
