Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 3 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- raw rice, well washed - 1/2 c
- cans Hunts tomato sauce - 2 item
How to make rice and beef porcupines:
Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce and water. Form mixture into 10 or 12 small balls. Brown them lightly in uncovered saucepan; drain off excess fat. Add tomato sauce and water. Cover tightly; simmer 45 to 50 minutes or until rice is tender. Serve with pan gravy.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Meatballs.
